“One live recording session, one day, one tight-knit band. Lars’s sense of timing, texture, and emotional resonance is exceptional. His playing is expressive, sincere, never showy, but always in service of the greater whole…..His style never feels forced in its eclecticism. He blends his influences in a way that feels natural, and his outstanding band—perfectly attuned to when to let go, tighten up, or give space—fully supports that. They play with refinement and grace as if it’s the most natural thing in the world. Effortlessly.” - Ella Milou, Blues Town Music.

“Lars’ phrasing and note choice are impeccable and he stretches way out without ever abandoning the groove. Through it all, Lars Kutschke plays it cool, in the pocket, and out of sight. Highly recommended.” - Mike O’Cull, Rock & Blues Muse
